In case you needed permission to sit back and relax — it's your day! Our Copper Fit team is all about relaxing and recovery in order to live a healthy lifestyle.

Below are some helpful tips to wind down the week:

  • Sit down and stretch out those muscles. Whether you're sitting at your desk all day or you're on the go constantly, your muscles need a moment to reset.
  • Set aside 15-20 minutes today to do something for YOU. Catching up on your favorite show? Cooking your favorite meal? Calling a friend or family member? You deserve some “me time.”
  • Take a quick walk and get some sun. Vitamin D is super beneficial for both your physical and mental health. Take slow deep breaths and sit in nature.
  • Time to unplug. One of the easiest ways to turn off those notifications. Set aside one or two hours to turn your phone off and step away from any screens, such as your computer or television.

Need some beneficial breathing exercises? We got you. “Box Breathing,” which has been proven to reduce anxiety and stress, can be done in a simple 5 steps.

  1. Sit upright and exhale slowly.
  2. Breathe in slowly through your nose — deep from your lungs and not from your chest. Count to four.
  3. Hold your breath and slowly count to four.
  4. Exhale out of your mouth while counting to four.
  5. Repeat until you feel calm and at peace.
